The shoot that included this wedding invitation suite was a collaboration between German wedding photographer Tanja Kibogo and me and many other vendors and was based on a specific color scheme that Tanja had envisioned. It included hand lettered names in mint watercolor and a few scattered illustrations, next to the calligraphy in peach and silver inks.

This is an inspiration for the romantics!
This visual story is all about the quiet fantasy about a romantic couple in Paris celebrating the beginnings of their love... writing each other letters and notes… all the while the lettering artist and photographer (that's me!) is giving you, my dear reader, quirky hints at the obvious, hoping that you will let your imagination run wild and just fall in love with being romantic again…
I designed this invitation recently for a styled shoot that involved many many flowers. It took place in a garden, and the color theme lent itself to this romantic feminine blush pink invitation design that included watercolor lettering. Beautifully captured by Berlin-based Ashley Ludaescher. Enjoy!

About a month ago, my friend Mireia Cordomi asked me if I'd have time to squeeze in a couple of place cards for her upcoming bridal inspiration shoot in Malaga. She had a black and white theme in mind and I quickly wrote a few with classic black ink for her. I really adore the moss decor she placed them on and come back to thinking that often Less is just a lot More.

Last summer I made a custom order for KT Merry. I designed, lettered and painted "bon voyage" on a piece of fabric. I drove to Aix-en-Provence and hand delivered it to Élodie of La Fabrique à Rêves over a panaché at Le Grillon, and she handed it over to KT in Tourtour, where "bon voyage" was photographed with a lovely French couple on a scooter. That styled shoot was featured on Wedding Sparrow and is also at home here.
As "bon voyage" was originally intended to be put on a getaway car, KT kept it and flew around the US, "bon voyage" always in her suitcase, looking for opportunities to photograph it again.
Then finally last April, during her "moda e arte" workshop in Ravello, that day had come. "bon voyage" was taken out of that suitcase for a beautiful inspirational honeymoon shoot. The fabric banner was put onto a chic little car, this time with a hot Italian couple kissing next to it. And I think it looks just as amazing here as on that French scooter! KT Merry's shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty and Flutter Magazine showed off "bon voyage" as seen through the workshop's attendees.
In the meantime, "bon voyage" is in Florida again and the word is that - after almost a year - it'll be coming back home soon. Bon Voyage!
I am finally making some progress in the design of my wedding photography website and just finished the logo components, one of which is this calligraphed "lovely" in watercolors just for the website.
I quickly wanted to share this tiny little project that I made for Valentine's Day this year. Writing with paint is fantastic, it's one more thing that I really enjoy. As with all lettering and calligraphy, words never come out the same - which is exactly the reason for its appeal! Hand lettered, hand painted, hand written….. it becomes unique and just so personal.
